Nokia To Buy Navteq For 8+ Billion Dollars


Nokia, based in Finland, recently announced that they are buying digital-map provider Navteq Corp. for $8.1 billion dollars. This is the largest buyout that Nokia has been affected with in their operating record. “The navigation field is a fast-growing vocation, and with location-based services expanding like a shot into mobile-communications devices, the vigour is poised for even new growth,” said Nokia Chief Top banana Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo. “The behave will strengthen Nokia’s placing in the GPS/maps market.
